Cross Country

Hey fellows, I'm back! I have been a little busy these days as there were many programmes organised by my school. I finally got the time to blog about my cross country that happened today. It was very tiring but also fun as I got to run along with other students. I started off well but soon I stopped as I had stitches. I did not know why because before that run, I did not even drink any water. I was disappointed. I could have been in the top 20 but because of that I could not anymore. Even though I had stitches, I tried my best to finish my run as quickly as possible. I saw one of my friend running past me and I felt sad. Towards the finishing line, I met up with my friend, Joshua, and we raced to the finishing line. I then lost to him but I was happy because I did not give up. After the run, all the students assembled in the field and it was prize-giving time. I was excited. During the prize-giving, I got to know that two of my classmates had gotten first in the whole level of secondary one! One was for the junior boys category and the other was for the junior girls category. Besides that, my class even won the best class award! We were very happy! My from teacher then mumbled to herself " Not bad ah." I heard her. We then laughed and congratulated each other. We got a bunch of goodies which we intended to bring it to Sentosa during our class outing on 3rd June. I will tell you more about it in the next post alright? For now, I am going to have a good sleep. Thank you!

A Day Swimming At Friend's Condo

Hi fellows, I'm back to write a gain in my so called "journal". Anyways, I wanted to tell you that I started to have this blog after my sister suggested a book called "The Secret Diary Of Adrian Mole" for my reading period in school. It was great and very hilarious! In my opinion, I think that teenagers my age would love it. Ok, enough of sharing about my blog. Today, I want to tell write about a day my friend and I went swimming. It started off like this. As soon as school ended, my friend, Sherman, ( I call him Shermy ) and I were talking about swimming. We have something in common and that is swimming. I'm not quite good at swimming but I enjoy it especially when there are the SLIDES. I sometimes tend to get scared and will change my mind if I think that the slide is SCARY. So, we decided to go swimming but the only problem is that we didn't know which swimming complex to go to. I then knew whom to call and that was my good friend, Gordon. He lived in a condominium in Sembawang called Yishun Emerald. Maybe it sounds familiar to you but it doesn't sound at all to me. Ha ha. After calling him, he agreed and we went home instantly to get our stuff ready. By 3pm sharp, we were both ready to go and met up at the bus interchange. We were lucky and didn't need to wait for one another as both of us reached on time to take the bus number 169 straight there. When we reached there, I saw the place in AWE. It was dead nice! How I wished I lived in a condominium. But, that doesn't mean that I don't like my home. I LOVE my home! Anyways, we called and told Gordon that we were at the entrance. He then immediately met us and we went in. Shermy and I changed our clothes in the toilet and it was very spooky. We changed quickly and got out of the toilet. We then walked to the swimming pool and instantly jumped into it without checking the depth of the water. We had lots of fun playing catching, wrestling, racing and many more. I enjoyed myself even though there were no slides! :) All of a sudden, I looked at my watch and was TOTALLY aware that it was 6pm. Time flies so fast when we are having fun! Shermy and I quickly went to the toilet to wash up and were prepared in 15mins. That's fast isn't it? We then thanked Gordon and went back to the interchange. We were so hungry in the bus and decided to buy some finger food from Old Chang Kee. After having 3 fish balls on a stick and a curry puff, I was then full. We then separated and went back home. I took bus number 812 for your information. As soon as I reached home, I thought that I was going to be full but I was wrong! I ATE another packet of chicken rice. I couldn't resist it! Anyways, I had fun swimming with my friends and hope that we could do it more often so that we could be best friends. So, that's my story. Thank you. :)

Sengkang Swimming Complex

Hey people! I'm writing two entries today because I have not posted for about a week and I feel guilty though. Today's topic is about an outing to Sengkang Swimming Complex with my cousins and sister. At first I didn't want to go because my sister didn't tell me earlier and it was also late at night. I was so sleepy and grumpy because I was starving too! I then got my stuff ready and went downstairs as my cousin was going to drive us back to her house. When we reached there, I ate twisties which did not fill up even a quarter of my stomach. Of course I wasn't the only one eating it. After that, we went up to the room where all of us will sleep there and I sat down on the bed. I couldn't sleep at ALL! But, something helped me in a way I guess. I was already sleeping maybe because of my cousin's laughter which was so loud that I was irritated and just slept. The next day, I woke up feeling "fresh" and wasn't grumpy anymore. Thank god I brought my toothbrush along. If not, I would have ants making nests in my mouth. Haha! After that, we got ready and left the house. We took a bus and alighted beside a Mrt Station. It was NOISY! We then boarded the second bus, 169, all the way to Sengkang. We then took a train to the place called Farmway but we ended up going in circles. I was so fed up with that line! Somehow we made it to our destination with the help of thinking "deeply".  We then got down of the train and bought bubbletea! Yumyum! I felt like as if I was in heaven! But, when we put a stepped onto the outside of the station I knew that it was hell. Haha. It was scorching HOT! We walked briskly to the swimming complex and bought the tickets before entering. We then got a locker and put our valuables in it. As soon as we had done it, I jumped into the water. We then explored the place and saw the SLIDES. They looked awesome at first but when I went up, I changed my opinion. It wasn't as "amazing" when I first saw it. We then took the four-lane slide and it was so fun! Next, we tried the tunnel slide which is quite dark. That was super SCARY! There were 2 of them and I tried only one as I had no confidence in myself to try the other one. After a lot of convincing from my cousin, I finally gave up arguing and tried. When I done the slide, I didn't think that it was as scary as I thought. Now, I have mustered up all my courage for any other slide provided there are people who can convince me. Thank you!

Trip To Malacca

Hi! I miss writing in my blog so I hope that this entry will be a LONG one. Today, I want to tell you more on my trip to Malacca, Malaysia. It was AWESOME only for the traffic on the way there. I went there with my dad's school staff and colleagues for a tour to know more about Malacca. We went there by car which we picked up several teachers on our way. Most of the age 25-60 plus. So, i guess they needed some comfort in the car so I sat at the back throughout the ENTIRE journey. First, my dad and myself woke up extra early because we are so called the "source". We picked up 4 teachers. It was like sardines in tin can. We then proceeded for the place where all of us had our break and followed the bus for our lunch. It was SUPERB! I mean the lunch. It were the Chinese who cooked it. The food was so fresh that until now I'm still craving for it. We had our dessert which is a jelly in a small bowl. At first, I thought that it would not taste good as I didn't like jellies before. But after eating it, I felt so REFRESHED! After lunch, the group taking the bus which consists of 50 over people went on the bus to visit the river i guess. Haha. We paid no attention to them as all of us were really exhausted. I was so CRAMPED at the back! So, we left quickly and headed for the hotel. I was looking forward to stay in the hotel because it was a 5-star. When we reached there, my dad and me got a room specially to ourselves. I was like "What!" Haha. I then went up to the hotel and just took off my clothes and threw them everywhere. I REALLY didn't care at all. I know it sounds quite rude but my dad really doesn't mind at all. That's good! So, after resting for about an hour, I thought of going to the swimming pool but my dad stopped me. I asked him why I could not go and he said that we were going to go some historical places or something. I then just sanked into my bed and rested while watching a soccer match. I was so BORED at that time! When it was time to assemble at the lobby, we went down and bumped into one of my dad's colleagues, Mdm Yasmin. So they talked and talked. (sigh) I just kept on asking my dad to walk faster. Haha. As soon as everyone assembled, we went to the shopping centre to buy some food if we wanted to stay up late. I asked my father why were we there because I thought we were going to some historical places and my father just said that he didn't know. I just followed the rest of the group. But, something caught my eyes! There was a soccer game in the mall and I was getting real excited to join in too! I was about to ask my father when I saw that the ball was so soft like a beach ball! I then changed my mind and went to the Popular nearby to check for interesting books. After looking through one by one, I saw a boy "begging" his mother to let him have two Spongebob Squarepants book but the mother said that he could only have one and he wailed so loudly that everyone from even the furthest corners looked at him annoyingly. In my opinion, the mother should have just given some lame excuse right? (sigh) Parents nowadays are so not understanding. I pitied the boy and walked out of Popular. Soon it was time to go back to our hotels to rest for the next day because there were activities before going back to Singapore. When I reached the hotel, I immediately lay down on my bed and before I knew it I was sleeping soundly. The next day, I woke up extra early just to make sure there was time for me to swim. At 8:15 sharp, I went down alone to play in the pool. I was so excited but when I reached the level and looked out, I saw that the pool was only like a POND! There were no slides or anything. I was so disappointed that I only spent an hour in it. Usually I would spent 3-4 hours in the pool but I was totally disgusted. At 9:00 sharp, I went up and had a good bath. I was not exactly bathing but instead soaking myself in water. It was WARM. After soaking myself in water, my dad and I went down to level 2 to have our breakfast. I was STARVING. Luckily there were rice. (SKIP) We then went up to pack our stuff and went down to go back to Singapore. I could not wait to get home because I miss my home! Unfortunately, we were stucked in the jam and we were frustrated. I told my father to try the other road and see if we could escape the jam. We then tried and fortunate enough, we were driving at the speed of 100km/h. We arrived back in Singapore in the evening and dropped off my father's colleagues at the Bishan Mrt Station. After that my father was about to ask me if I had fun but he saw that I was sleeping! Haha. So, that was my story of my trip to Malacca. I had many experiences during the trip like stucking in a BAD jam and many more. Thank you!

A short time playing badminton

Hi! I'm back to post about playing badminton with my dad. We suddenly decided to play badminton as it has been a long time since we last played together. Also to add, I always lost to him. So, this time I wanted to see if I could win him in the match. After he came back from work, he ate and rested for half an hour before leaving the house. We arrived at the badminton court at about 9pm. We only played for half an hour because the next day was a schooling day. During the match, I saw his weakness and started taking advantage. Unfortunately, I was too late to catch up with him as he was winning me with a score of 17-9. So, I just played normally, trying not to use up a lot of energy as I wanted to use it for the next match. My dad then won that game and I was not satisfied at all. I still had one more game and I needed to win that one. I started off not too bad and was leading with a score of 16-11. Soon, it became 18 all. I panicked. I mustered all my energy and tried my best in the next 3 points. I was then so happy because I won that game which was quite a difficult one. The set score was then 1-1. We had the final match to play and that will determine who is the overall winner. We led a tough game until my father became tired of my smashes and he started losing. I then took advantage again and won that game. I was very satisfied and happy. Even though I won, I really appreciated father to come and play with me. I hope that we can strengthen our relationship in that way! I also hope that we could play badminton more often! Thank you.

Tests!

Hi! I am now trying my best to update my blog daily as you know that my blog's title is about my daily life. (: Anyways, today i just had 2 tests. 1 on informal letter writing which I think its not that easy and my maths which I think that I would do well. I am overall happy because I did not have much difficulties when doing both my tests. Other than that, I would like to tell all of you that I really LOVE my class! Our so called motto is " One for All, All for One". I am very grateful to have helpful friends and a class with a good fighting spirit in whatever we do. I hope that our class spirit will be alive forever and also that we will progress and achieve our dreams together. Thank you!

About Today

Hi! It has been quite a while since I last updated my blog. I always keep on forgetting and I don't know why. Sorry. (: So, the topic that I want to share with you know is about today's PE. I have been continuously playing floorball each session during PE. I don't know why but I just got to know that I kind of like playing that sport as I love playing games which involves TEAMWORK. I started playing it since the time when I saw a group of secondary two boys playing. They were dead GOOD. I became interested since then. Now, my class is going to organize a inter-class floorball competition for the lower secondary students. I am looking forward to it! Ok, now back to my story. During PE lesson just now, I made a team of five: 2 boys and 3 girls so that it will be fair for everyone else. My team totally dominated every group except for the last one. It was a great match and I really enjoyed it very much! They were good and at the same time not so rough too. I dislike people who gets irritated because they lost. Anyway it is just a game! This group was much different then what i thought.  They were from another class and i guess that's what makes it so different then other groups. After the match, I asked a boy who was in that group if he had floorball lessons before and he said yes. I was then like " Oh, you had floorball lessons before?". Haha. But, i enjoyed my PE lesson overall including my teacher as he will crack jokes in between. I hope that my interest in other sports will grow and not stick to only one sport. Thank you!

An Adventure

Hi again everyone! It have been quite a while since I last blogged. It was because of the homework that is given everyday. Haha. So, today I'm going to share with you about my first time volunteering to help by taking care of dogs at the centre near Lim Chu Kang Road. It's called the "Pet Dog Kennel" i guess. Anyways, it was such an enjoyable experience for me too so that I will be mentally prepared for my trip to the Elephant Nature Park as it should be as tough as this or tougher. It was very fun to observe how the puppies and dogs interact with each other. At times, they tend to play around trying to bite on our pants/shorts. I went there with my cousin and sister. We prepared so much food but we did eat a single thing at all. Now, let me tell you more about the place. It has been owned by someone for sometime also. It takes in dogs that are all stray ones or the ones that have some problems. When we first arrived there, I was so grumpy and sticky because the long walk from the bus-stop to the centre was so HOT! We totally craved for many things on our way there. Ok, so when we reached there, we cooled down but I did not know how we did it because there was no fan at all. A woman then took us for a mini tour just around the kennels which I got to see many different kind of dogs. There were so ADORABLE! After the instructions were given to us, we first went to the section where all the puppies stay at. Most of them were stray ones but were friendly towards us. I felt so happy and satisfied! I just stayed with the puppies while my cousin and my sister went to the other sections and played with the other dogs. I wanted to but I had phobia of them. So, after an hour of playing with the dogs and puppies, we were given a task to paint the fences that were rusty. We met a group of volunteers happily helping too! We wore the "durian" gloves and took a piece of cloth. The paint was in a container and we were supposed to dip the cloth in it and paint. The painting was so boring and tiring. Luckily halfway through painting the fences, MacDonalds came to our rescue even though we had paint on our fingers. It was ok. After that, we resumed again and finished off at about 4pm. We washed up and were ready to go back home. Thankfully, my cousin's friend gave us a lift which we quickly agreed to it. He dropped us at the Clementi Mrt station. We then decided to give ourselves a little treat for our hard work. After we were SUPER satisfied, we took a train back to my cousin's house to bath  and get rid of the germs. We reached her place at about 8pm and immediately my sister went first. It was then 11pm and we finished resting and watched a movie, Monsters Inc. She then sent us back home and I was so relieved to be back home again. Ok, I guess maybe the next post is going to be on the trip to Thailand with my sister. Thank you and home sweet home

NAPFA Test

Hey everyone! I'm back to tell you guys about the latest news in my school. I recently had my NAPFA test which I had not prepared myself but it was not that bad though. After school, I went back home to bath and get my PE shirt. The test was at 3pm and everyone was supposed to be there early but here I was at home still bathing! OMG. I quickly rushed out of my house without bringing my water. I reached school at 2.45pm and walked slowly to the Indoor Sports Hall where the test will be conducted. I was very afraid that I wouldn't pass or rather get an A for my 5 stations. The test then started after some stretching. My class was one of the few classes that were supposed to do first. I was like SHIT! So, we were assigned to the standing broad jump first which I also wasn't good at it! Just my luck. I got 171. Second station was the sit and reach but that I was not too bad. I got 39 which was an A! Yay. So far the first one. Third station was the sit-ups and I was good at it! Don't think that I'm boasting because I am good at it. Haha. Kidding. I did 45 which was more than an A. Fourth station was the shuttle run. As you know, I am not good at running but this time I almost gotten an A! I ran and got 10.6. The last station was the inclined pull-up. The weather was VERY hot at that time and I couldn't do much. So, I just aimed for an A but not more that as I think anyone would get blisters on their palms. I did 28. Later, I found out that my friend had done 62 pull ups which I personally thought it was amazing! Surely his palms were scorching hot! HAHA! OK everyone, so that was what happened during my test. Thank you and comment! =))

Mother's 54th B'day!!

Hey there, Rifqi's back to blog! As you know, today I am going to blog about my mum's birthday. It was quite funny because my mum TOTALLY spoiled our plans. :) I know it sounds quite rude but.... (sigh) So, after buying all the things for my mum's birthday we all walked home feeling SO tired and grumpy. When we were walking, my oldest sis saw that my the house lights were on. After a few seconds, it was off. We then knew that my mother was not sleeping and probably keeping a look out for us. We then knew that our plans was ruined so we just acted like as if we didn't know. ha ha! As soon as we stepped in the house, my sister cooked instant noodles but without the MSG. You know... we people are very HEALTHY! So after we all ate the noodles that was so DELICIOUS, we rested on the floor while my mother went out. I thought of watching a movie that was fun but it didn't happen. We were actually sleeping! ( No doubt because all of us were extremely tired) The next day when I woke up, I was panicking like a mad dog! I thought I could wake up at about 9am so that I can have breakfast and then go to my friend's house to do our history project but it turned out this way! I quickly washed up and left the house. I took a cab from my mum's house back home. It was so expensive! I think I'm broke now.... I reached home quite fast as there was no jam. I told my dad that I needed to go to my friend's house to do my project and asked him whether he could sent me there and he nodded reluctantly. ( I wasn't forcing!!!) So, I reached my friend's house and just got to know that he stays in a condo. Wow! I arrived there with 2 of my friends waiting. I feel so bad. We quickly continued on the project and in 2 hours time, we finished all of it! Then, had lunch with them. It was finger-licking Lovely! It was then time to go back home... I was so happy to have to meet up together and hope that we could do that more often. Thank you readers!

Relieved...

Hello little fellows, Rifqi's back again to blog more about his life! *Phew* I am so relieved that all my common tests are over. YaY!! I can be more relaxed and not stress to much on my studies as you know that human need to have fun too. But unfortunately, there's still one more common test left which is my weakest subject, Maths. :( Its alright. I know that sooner or later the test will still be over. I am looking forward to it as I want to see how do I do. I hope that my hard work will pay off! By the way, I am going to edit some parts of the blog as I think its quite BORING. After my blog is edited, I will then return to blog again. I think I need to go and get some rest for tomorrow now as I think I am going to fall asleep SOON. Ok, maybe I will blog again tomorrow! See you! Thanks.

~Having Fun~

Hello fellows, today I am going to share some of the things I had with my friends. As soon as my school's bell rang, we met up at the canteen and headed for the street soccer court. There were 5 boys and 1 girl that played soccer including me! The girl was VERY good! Perhaps, when she was in primary school she played soccer. So, we were happily searching for a court and it took us 10 mins just to decide which court to go! Imagine that! (Sigh) :) I was waiting quietly and I just blew up! I took the ball and went to the nearest void deck, inviting them along. They just seemed to know what I was trying to signal. Such good friends I have! We so called divided us into 2 groups. I was with the girl and extremely excited as I had not played soccer with a girl before! Surprisingly, she was good! She scored 2 goals while I scored 1 only. :( Its alright I told myself. I have a way of cheering up myself. So, we wrapped up the game with set scores of 5:4. We had a great time together and I hope to do that again provided my common tests are over! Thank you my dear friends for hanging out together. :)

My Family's 8th Annual Camp

Hey fellows, Rifqi's back! I know that this blog is not usually updated because I do not have the time to blog. But, do not be disappointed because I'm back to blog! So, today I am going to tell you about my precious 4 days and 3 nights at my 8th annual family camp. I had the most memorable time there! We also played some games there as our camp would not be a good one without games. Almost all my cousins participated in the games. Some of the games are: balloon buster, captain's ball, badminton, soccer and more. Even my aunts and uncles had a great time together singing and joking around! The purpose of organising this camp is to strengthen the bond between one another and also to have fun! We took several family photos of our WHOLE family which consists about 89 people altogether. I am extremely proud of my family! I hope that my family will go far and will not stop forever. I promise that I will do my best in my studies and make my family and me PROUD! Thank you for reading this entry.

My life so far...

Hello fellows, Rifqi's back. Today I want to tell u about my life so far in my school. Its been tough for me some times as I am still trying to adapt to the environment. I have made many friends by the way. There are some that are bad and good friends. I just like to be surrounded by people. :) Anyways, I just got my CCA. I got soccer and maybe badminton for my second one. My intention was actually to join table-tennis but there are some difficulties in communicating with the coach as he is from China. But that won't stop me from playing table-tennis as I love playing that sport. In terms of my studies, I have no difficulties except for my science. I fin it difficult to understand though. I will try my best to listen attentively to my teacher. I will prove my all my family members that I can achieve good results! Thanks to all the people who had helped me before! Thank you. :)

Have to cope with my studies...

Hey fellows, today right now I want to write about my life so far in my secondary life. I just got to know that one has to work hard to be successful in life. And that's I want to do and get it. I know that there will be some challenges that I have to face in my future. I'm now trying to be independent and not depend so much on my guardians or parents. The reason why is so that when I'm older I would know how to handle my problems. But 1 BIG thing that's making life hard for me is for me to cope with my studies. I often get advices from people older telling me that secondary life is a BIG jump from primary school life. I now understand that! I had made a promise to myself that I would study very hard and achieve good grades for my family and most importantly MYSELF! And now I would begin working towards my dream and hope to achieve it. I would like to give thanks to everyone who had given me the great support and advice! Thank you.

First Post

Hey fellows, I will write about my first time in my secondary school. It was such a funny experience! Ok, let's start. I just arrived in school at half past 6 by my dad's car. He drove me there. I was so nervous when I saw different faces. I was searching for any of my primary school friend and I saw him standing next to a wall looking blur. His name is Joshua. I approached him and asked him whether any of our friends were there too. He said there were a few. My face lit up. I was relieved because at least I have someone to go to unless I have no friends. I quickly went and look for my friends. When I met them, I felt a little shocked as many of my Malay friends who usually hang out with me weren't there. I only saw most of them who were VERY smart. From there I knew that I had to mix with them as they are the only ones I know better. Besides, I can ask them for help to teach me anything I don't know. I am very fortunate that I got friends that are good. I hope that I can get well along with them and match up with their standards. Thank you. :)
